The book, "Historical Collections of Ohio, in Two Volumes; an Encyclopedia of the State: History both General and Local, Geography with Descriptions of its Counties, Cities, and Villages, its Agricultural, Manufacturing, Mining, and Business Development, Sketches of Eminent and Interesting Characters, etc., with Notes of a Tour over it in 1886 - Illustrated by hundreds of Engravings," by Henry Howe, LL. D., Cincinnati, Ohio, 1907 edition (Vol. 1) and 1902 edition (Vol. 2). Here are two HUGH books dealing with the pioneer and ca. 1886 residents of all Counties of the State of Ohio. It is absolutely filled with genealogical and personal information about thousands of Ohio residents. It has many illustrations of individuals and of interesting Ohio historical subjects. There are many biographical memoirs or sketches. The books have large chapters devoted individually to each County, with a few chapters dedicated to the State itself. The two volumes have approximately 1,911 pages including large indices. The indices are not linked, but the Adobe 'Search' function ca be used as the books are fully searchable. Please note: This is not a paper book, it is a scan of the original paper book into the digital Adobe PDF format, written on a CD-ROM. You read this book on your computer using the free Adobe Reader software. It is a digital version of a hard to find book. If you could find a copy of the 1902 printed book, it would be very expensive.

There are way too many individuals listed in the two volumes for me to transcribe & list. Many individuals from all counties, townships, and communities are examined biographically - much obscure Ohio history is covered.

Do not miss the chance to get this great historical, family, and genealogical reference! Please note: This is a scan of the original book converted to Adobe PDF format and written on a CD-ROM.
